Kerr Third in North Georgia Turkey Rumble

MARYVILLE, Tenn (Nov. 10) Tommy Kerr and the Blount Motorsports team headed to North Georgia for two events over the past weekend. The first at Boyd’s Speedway on Friday night was rained out. The second event, The Fourth Annual Turkey Rumble at North Georgia Speedway on Saturday night saw the BMS team take home a strong third place finish.

Tommy qualified the Stowers CAT/Cast Stone sponsored entry 12th, won the fourth heat and started eighth.

“There was a good bunch of drivers and teams at North Georgia Saturday night. We started eight and drove our way to third,” said Tommy. “When we got to the second place car, Dale McDowell, that was it. McDowell and I were running about the same and neither of us had anything for leader Jimmy Owens.”

This Friday and Saturday nights the BMS team will be at Cleveland Speedway. On Friday night they will run the Fourth Annual Joe Lee Johnson Memorial. On Saturday night they will participate in the 20th running of the SAS Gobbler.

“We keep getting better and better at Cleveland and we are looking forward to running back-to-back races there this weekend,” concluded Kerr.
